The leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), Manzoor Pashteen, reports that dozens of civilians, including children, were injured in an airstrike by the Pakistani military in the Tirah region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On his Facebook page, he shared images of several injured children, stating that the wounded had been transferred to Peshawar’s Hayatabad Complex Hospital. Pashteen has urged his movement’s supporters to visit the hospital to donate blood for the injured.
So far, the Pakistani government and the country’s media, most of which operate under military influence, have not commented on the incident. However, several residents of the area confirmed the airstrike and the injuries of civilians on social media.
PTM wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “12 children and 13 adults have been injured in a military drone strike in Tirah, while Khyber Security Forces claim that they targeted TTP members. The truth is that these photos are not of armed Taliban but of children, who were injured in their own homes. This means that the bombing was conducted on homes and civilian areas. Leader Manzoor Pashteen and other Pashtun leaders understand this game, which is why they have called on both sides to leave Pashtun land, as innocent Pashtuns are being killed in this fake war. Peace can only be achieved when both sides withdraw from our land.”
